How to Apply Your Signsinsymbols DTF Transfers
1 / What You’ll Need

A clean garment: Pre-washed is best to avoid shrinkage later.

Lint Roller: Essential for removing debris before pressing.

Teflon Sheet or Parchment Paper: To protect your garment and the design.

Hard, Flat Surface: Especially important if you are using an iron.
2 / Method 1: Using a Heat Press (Recommended)

Prep: Set your press to 300-320°F (150-160°C). Pre-press your garment for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Position: Place your transfer printed-side down on the garment. Cover with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.

The Press: Apply firm pressure for 10 seconds.

The Peel: This is a COLD PEEL. Wait for the transfer to cool completely (about 15-30 seconds) before slowly peeling the film off in one smooth motion.

The Finish: Place parchment paper over the design and press again for 5 seconds. This "finishing press" locks the design into the fibers for maximum durability.
3 / Method 2: Using a Home Iron

Prep: Set your iron to the highest heat setting (usually Cotton/Linen). IMPORTANT: Turn off all steam. Steam will prevent the adhesive from bonding.

Surface: Do not use a padded ironing board. Use a hard, flat surface like a wooden table or a stone countertop.

Position: Place your transfer printed-side down. Cover with parchment paper.

The Press: Do NOT slide the iron. Instead, apply heavy body weight and press down firmly for 30-45 seconds per section of the design. Ensure every inch gets equal heat and pressure.

The Peel: Let it cool completely (2-3 minutes). Gently peel the film. If any part of the design lifts, stop and re-press that area for another 15 seconds.
